Curriculum Consultation -
For parents wishing to purchase curriculum for homeschooling their children, we offer consultations. These meetings help to hone in on the family's ideals and the learning needs of their children. Meetings with both the parents and the children are necessary to help narrow curriculum choices. We also assist with ordering curriculum.
Tutoring -
We are committed to helping your child succeed! Whether they are attending public schools, private schools, or are homeschooled, we want to be a partner in your child's success.
The term, "tutoring," can be misleading. Some students do require extra practice or remediation in a particular content area, but others may just need an extra challenge to help develop higher-order thinking skills. Either way, we have solutions to meet your child's needs.

After assessing your child's skill level in each content area, we will design a personal program and outline goals. This process begins, as mentioned, with an initial assessment of skill levels as well as learning styles. We focus on how your child learns best, and create a program that utilizes your child's strengths. Goals, ongoing assessments, and progress reports are all part of the custom program we create. Students who excell in certain, or even all, subjects can benefit from being challenged in those subject areas. We can develop an enrichment program to offer challenges while developing stronger higher-level thinking skills. As with our other services, conferencing with parents and assessing student abilities is essential in developing a personal program and setting goals.
Study Skills and Test Preparation -
We also offer study skill programs, working with students to teach them the keys to effective studying. Understanding different study methods and how to implement them will help students identify what works best for them.
Preparation for the ACT and SAT is also available, using a combination of existing preparation materials and our unique individual attention. We strive to use the study strengths of each student to guide and supplement their preparation process.

As a homeschooler myself, I understand the challenges of choosing curriculum and organizing a learning environment. We offer workshops, individual consultations, and support services for families who want to homeschool their children.
Individual Consultations - For families just beginning their homeshcooling journey, or for those who are looking for new approaches, we offer individual consultations. We'll help new homeschoolers guidance in choosing curriculum, organizing their household schedules, and other problem solving issues. For veterans, we offer consultations to examine the format being used and focus on any stumbling blocks or changes that need to be made.
We plan to offer workshops for homeschooling families to help guide and enhance the family learning experience. At this time, the following workshops will be made available:
* Homeschooling 101 - A workshop geared for beginning homeschooling families.
* Reading/Writing Workshops - Introduces the concept of reading/writing workshops, and how they may be implemented with cooperating homeschool families.
* Hands-On Math Activities and Experiences - Introduces some innovative ways to help children apply mathematical concepts to real-world situations.
* End of School Year Celebration - Introduces ideas for families to allow their children to display their work for others to see, while enjoying a celebration of a successful homeschool year.
